AM- 3 miles easy in the rain at the roundabout. We had a good group this morning and Spencer "forgot" his shirt again lol.

PM- workout at Bloomington hills north park in the humidity. Did a mile fast on the road and then 800-400 blocks. Hit the mile but for some reason, I was dying on the 800s today. I think I'm still fatigued from being sick so I went home and just chilled for the rest of the night and went to bed early.

Workout before watching the snow canyon jv race. We ran a lot faster than I thought we would but I was able to keep up! Pumped for my visit this weekend and region next week!

PM- Got to South Dakota and went on a run with the team. Talked to one of the cross girls and she introduced me to the xc coach. I don't think I am going to go there but it was good to get out there and make a decision. Ran 5 on a gravel road

AM- Easy 2 miles this morning in prep for region tomorrow! Getting excited!

PM- 3 miles easy with 4x200 finishes on the track. pumped for a region and I'm ready to get out there and show people what I can do without being sick!

REGION CROSS!!! Last one of my HIGH SCHOOL CAREER! 

I felt kinda tight on the warmup so I was a little nervous getting up to the line, and I took it out fast. I hate getting boxed in so I just went for it. It was one of the hardest races I've raced mentally in a while. I kept doubting myself during the race. I was able to hang in there even after some of the cedar and hurricane girls gained on me. I outran one of the hurricane girls right at the end and I was super proud of that. I ended up 6th which is the best i've ever placed at region I think but not exactly where I wanted to be. I have big goals for state this year and it's all going to come down to me believing in myself. I know I have the physical capacity to accomplish my goals but I need to believe I can race against these other great girls. I am so ready to crush it!

Workout behind the school, felt so good actually! My legs were tired on the warm-up but felt good after!

Also the boys took my jacket after practice and hoisted it up the flagpole with my keys!haha I love those guys

Ran the backside of little black mountain this morning with bailey and madi and the boys that showed up. It was so fun to just get out there and have fun. We went out 2.5 and got to the petroglyphs and stopped there to look around for a sec. That sec turned into 30 minutes... whoops.. we played tag on the rocks and just dinked around like we were freshmen again ;) It was a good day! Then we ran back and did our pickups and hopped in the cars super fast to drive to kneaders for some chunky french toast. Overall it was a pretty great morning :) I even got to take a nap after before doing homework!! I am getting really excited for state next week!

STATE CHAMPS!!!!

What a rush! I honestly didn't have the race I wanted by a long shot. I was pretty disappointed in my individual performance but I was able to contribute to the team and help us earn the girls teams first title ever! Overall, Desert Hills Girls also had the fastest average time of the day which totally helps us out for nxr this year. I am going to learn from this race and go get it at nxr!

Had a visit to SUU today but I'm not going to write about it in here... sorry yall haha. 

Got home and decided to go swimming instead of run as my legs felt very very dead

Got up early to run the workout with coach Fielding, cuz I got my wisdom teeth out at 8 lol. Did 3 miles out and then did 2 miles fast back down the spectrum hitting 5:57 and then 6:00. Pretty proud of those times 2 days after state. Now Its time to recover from this dental thing and get ready for nxr southwest!

PM- Getting back into things after my surgery. Ran an easy 4 behind the school! I am so ready to be feeling back to normal instead of so swollen and sore in my mouth. It'll come though so I'm not worried. I have a couple of big decisions to make this week so wish me luck!

AM- swim! got up and went to swim and I actually didn't feel that out of swim shape thank goodness! It might take me a second to get back into the swing of things but I'm i'm okay with it. Did yoga after and my legs felt a ton better

PM- 800s at Bloomington hills north park. I was a little nervous for this workout considering I did terrible Tuesday, but I surprised myself! I hit my time or faster on every single rep and the last one I went a 2:47. I exercised a lot of patience during the workout to really work the last two and I'm super proud of it! We picked out state rings after practice too!!

AM- swim again, a lot longer than yesterday but I still felt really good! Shawn wants me to sprint this year so we'll see how that turns out lol.

After swim I got home, changed and went for my run. All the girls had run earlier in the day so I just went by myself and did an easy 4. It felt good to be done with all my work by 8:30am! 

Went to school and work and worked my butt off. I got tons done and got like 4 hours in so it was a solid day!

PM-it was sooo nice to sleep in this morning! I haven't had the best past two days. My parents are pissed and i feel like we just keep getting in arguments about college and what I'm doing with my life and all I want to do is make my own decisions for once. I was in a super bad mood starting this run but about 5 miles in I stated feeling a little better and just focused on the pretty desert :) did 10.5 with the girls with the last mile fast. It was perfect weather and the run really helped me clear my head!
